Relaxed Performance
Saturday 22nd October 2016, 3:30pm

Relaxed Performances are specifically designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders, or a learning disability. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and some small changes made to the light and sound effects.

Box of Tricks and New Diorama will offer audience members an experience tailored to their requirements:

▪Visual Story Guide: A Visual Story Guide will be developed and distributed in the lead up to the relaxed performance. The resource pack will offer a detailed storyboard of the play, using production photography, to reduce anxiety around surprises and ensure visitors are prepared for the experience.
Relaxed Performance: There will be a relaxed attitude to noise and movement from the audience during the relaxed performance and some changes will be made to the lighting and sound effects of the production to provide the most comfortable environment.
▪Theatre: The Front of House area will be adapted to offer a relaxed pre-show environment.
